I'm fascinated with people's cabins . . . even their storage sheds. Unlike the houses in subdivisions, where there is a great deal of repetition and sameness, these all exhibit individual personalities. Many, if not all, of the cabins I have been photographing were built by the original owners, and their ideas, sometimes not particularly good aesthetic or functional ideas, are expressed in a medium that lasts for decades. Indeed, it's sometimes the odd proportions, colors, materials, or strange details that make a particular cabin compelling. After all, nobody bothers looking at anything typical or ordinary.Links
